Edward R. Jacobs, O.D.

Dr. Edward R. Jacobs, O.D. received his Bachelor of Science in 1976 from the Ohio State University.  Upon graduation, he assisted Spencer Sherman, M.D., a consulting Ophthalmologist to the United Nations, with the setup of a glaucoma screening program in New York City in conjunction with the National Society to Prevent Blindness.  Building on this experience, Dr. Jacobs went on to receive his second Bachelor of Science degree in Optical Science and his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.

Having practiced all areas of Optometry since 1982, Dr. Jacobs continues to enjoy the one to one patient interaction, as well as keeping up with the innovative technological advances in vision care.  He maintains expertise in contact lens fitting, Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), LASIK consultation and co-management, and cataract evaluation and co-management.
